A full day workshop with Maddy and Miles was wonderful. Beautiful, quiet and rural location, a comfortable studio space, and a great welcome from them both. Not only did they work with us to produce stunning oak trays, but we also learnt a number of different ‘bending’ techniques, and understood more about how wood works. Myself and my friend came away feeling relaxed, informed and very pleased with ourselves! Would highly recommend this workshop.

This appealed to me as simple, as unique yet practical. It came quickly, extremely well packed and with a card that really showed the makers pride and care. It looks great, is great and I can’t wait for the birds to enjoy it as much as me. I may have to get another and wish they did a similar style in another shape so I could get a series !! Love all the colour choices and personalisation even though I went plain it’s so thoughtful and actually priced to reflect such quality and individuality.

I’m not a skilled crafter but really felt I learnt something over the day and without feeling intimidated about the skill level. On top of that left with a great product which everyone can’t believe I made, but I did. Can’t recommend highly enough if you want to try something new.

I was a little apprehensive as I was going alone but I certainly didn't need to as Maddy and Myles immediately made me feel at ease and welcomed me into their amazing self built workshop. I met some other lovely people attending the course and everything was very relaxed and I could really enjoy listening and learning how to steam and bend wood. We made several pieces learning steaming and bending techniques finishing with an amaxing tray we had helped with the steaming technique, chosen out of so many choices of wood, oil stain and the amazing cork background of the tray. Both Maddy and Myles were incredibly interesting and knowledgeable, answering any questions and fully committed to sustainability of both the wood they use and all of their products. A very tranquil and amazing day, thank you Maddy and Myles I can't stop looking and touching my beautiful tray, feels so good!! Thank you, hopefully I will be back! Fi

Just perfect looks so stylish

What a delight to unwrap this lovely bird feeder, which was stained blue for me and was so clever in its design. Every single detail was bespoke and thoughtfully designed and crafted. What a talented, lovely pair of eco warrior designers Madeleine and Myles are!
They bring a wonderful modern twist to the Arrs and Crafts heritage.

I made a beautiful wood steamed planter this morning with great help and guidance from Myles and Madeleine.
Their studio is lovely and fully conducive to creativity. They made me feel welcome and confident, giving clear demos for every step of the making.

A thoroughly enjoyable and interesting day in conducive surroundings. Madeleine and Myles made us very welcome and guided us through the processes of wood steaming and bending giving us lots of opportunities to try different pieces of wood whilst at the same time working on our beautiful trays. Don’t be put off if you’ve never worked with wood before, Madeleine and Myles were kind, supportive, excellent teachers demonstrating all techniques and giving help whenever needed. I highly recommend this course and am delighted with the end product.

The course was very well run with everything that you needed being provided. All equipment was first class and everyone made a very high quality tray: even those with little or no woodworking experience. The tutors had obviously done a lot of preparation to ensure everything went smoothly, and make sure there was plenty of time to get everything finished properly. There were also plenty of options on the tray’s finish so everyone could get a tray to their own preferences.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend it to anyone, regardless of woodworking experience.
